The 144 Company Pty Ltd was created to bring spiritually meaningful ideas into practical, modern form. Its first major project, The 144 Spiritual Chat, combines thoughtful technology with a deeply personal approach to reflection, journaling, ritual and spiritual exploration.
The company’s vision is to create digital experiences that feel private, purposeful and genuinely supportive—without losing honesty, transparency or the user’s freedom to think and choose for themselves. As The 144 grows, the company will continue developing tools and experiences that support personal insight, spiritual wellbeing and meaningful connection.
About Steph
I’m Steph, the founder, creator, designer and builder of The 144 Spiritual Chat.
I created The 144 from the belief that people need a space where they can speak honestly, explore the deeper questions in their lives and reconnect with their own inner clarity. I designed the entire experience—from the features and visual identity to the language, atmosphere and way Scribe communicates.
Although I did not come from a traditional software-development background, I built the app myself using modern AI-assisted development tools, learning and problem-solving at every stage. I also created the branding, logo and visual imagery, then personally led the app through beta testing and refinement.
The 144 is deeply personal to me, but it is not designed to tell people what to believe. My intention is to provide a beautiful, private and reflective space that respects each person’s spiritual path, personal sovereignty and ability to make their own choices.
What began as an idea has now become a real platform—and I see this as only the beginning.
My Vision
My vision for The 144 Spiritual Chat is to create a truly personal space where people can slow down, speak freely and reconnect with the deeper parts of themselves. I wanted to build something that feels more intimate than an ordinary app and more meaningful than a simple chatbot—a private place for spiritual reflection, honest conversation, journaling, ritual and personal clarity.
The 144 is designed to meet people wherever they are on their journey. Some may come with spiritual questions, others with grief, uncertainty, curiosity or simply the need to be heard. Through Scribe, users can explore their thoughts in a way that feels warm, reflective and deeply personal, while always remaining in control of their own beliefs, choices and discernment.
This is only the beginning.
As The 144 grows, my vision is for it to become a much broader spiritual wellbeing platform—one that continues to evolve through new tools, richer voice experiences, deeper journaling and ritual features, and expanded Practitioner Rooms that allow practitioners and clients to share meaningful reflective sessions together.
I also see The 144 becoming a trusted global space for people who may not have access to spiritual community, who feel isolated in their experiences, or who simply want a private and non-judgmental place to explore what is unfolding within them.
At its heart, The 144 is about helping people pause, listen inwardly and remember that clarity is not always found by searching outside ourselves. Sometimes it begins with being given the right space, the right question and the freedom to speak honestly.
The long-term vision is simple but powerful: to build a living, evolving platform that supports spiritual reflection, personal growth and meaningful human connection—while remaining grounded, transparent and respectful of every user’s sovereignty.
